About Truztin

What is it ?

• Are you a successful businessman/entrepreneur with experience that you believe can be useful to a larger group/network ? Met some great people in your business journeys that you have felt good about, and have had a fantastic business experience with? Are these people you would like to make others at large aware of ? Ever felt frustrated that despite all the hoopla about social networks, you have often had to resort to your old fashioned ‘rolodex’ to reach someone you trust and seek advice from, on important business matters?

• TruzTin is based on a simple, yet powerful premise (we believe) – that successful relationships are based on good, old fashioned trust between individuals. Deals are done even today based on this simple premise (yes, even in the high-tech world). When A trusts B and B trusts C, chances are A can trust C. However, one wonders what value has the world been deprived of if A does not know C? Or if they do get connected, it is after a long, inefficient process of referrals, missed phone calls, emails etc.

• What if there was a mechanism, an engine that captures this intrinsic knowledge of trust among individuals and makes it available for the members to find each other quickly for the greater good of the individuals and humanity in general ? Ambitious, but doable it is. TruzTin we believe will enable this

• TruzTin is a purpose oriented network of individuals with ‘Truzt statements’ and ‘Truzt tags’ that are able to make a bigger impact in this world - supposedly highly connected but currently lacking in purposeful ‘connections’.

• TruzTin is our effort to create this 'loose' yet structured ecosystem of like-minded individuals and businesses that would benefit from each other through this network. It is our attempt to be a part of the 'Network Transformation' that is taking place today in society and in business organizations. It is our version of 1+1 = 11

• The current networks specialize in finding someone online and then go offline to meet that person. We are reversing the paradigm, taking our offline relationship online. We are also changing the paradigm of networks focusing on ‘me’ to focusing more on ‘others’.

 

Who is behind it?

• We are entrepreneurs and businessmen, and have been lucky in having come across some great people in our respective journeys. We strongly believe in the values of doing ‘good’ for goodness’s sake. We are also adventurers, with a passion for new ideas, new avenues.

 

What can I do here ?

• Make available online, your trusted network of individuals and businesses so that others at large can find them for their own use

• Define your trustbase with a set of ‘Truzt Statements’ (brief description of your experience with that person) and ‘TruztTags’ (keywords you would describe them by)

• Implicitly invite your trustbase to join the network through invitations

• Search the network with specific keywords you may be looking for, for your own use (Ex: “Dallas” , “Real Estate”, “Technology” etc)

• Review your and others’ profiles in a simple, yet powerful, fun way – Name, Picture, Truzt Statements, TruzTags

• Most important, be able to navigate the network graphically and locate people in the network and their proximity to you

• Chat rooms, blogs, forums, context based relationship/dialog suggestions, based on news, events etc (in future versions)

 

How does it work ?

• Intuitively, without any clutter – primarily through graphical mapping/viewing of connections.

• You get invited from someone in the network

• You sign in using an existing facebook or twitter account or set up a truztin account based on an  invite

• You set up your connections by pulling in specific contacts from facebook or twitter or directly in TruzTin

• You describe your connections by stating your Truzt Statement about your connections, and specifying keywords that the contact would be best described as

• That’s it.. You can visit the network when you need, view your maps and connections, search for profiles that you are looking for, and add additional nodes as appropriate

 

How do I join ?

• The beauty of it is – you don’t join, at least not explicitly !! Participation is by invitation only. Chances are that you know someone who is already in the network and that person would have to make you a connection – which then triggers your participation. You would get an email or a facebook message which when you acknowledge, makes you a full participant in the network.
